The purpose of this study is to provide readers with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of M-Files on their organizations. To better understand the benefits, costs, and risks associated with this investment, Forrester interviewed five decision-makers with experience using M-Files. For the purposes of this study, Forrester aggregated the interviewees’ experiences and combined the results into a single composite organization.
Prior to using M-Files, the interviewees’ organizations had legacy document and information management solutions, but still struggled with disorganized documentation, locating and exchanging documents, meeting high security and compliance standards, and instituting efficient documentation processes. Attempts to remedy these problems with their legacy systems, a mix of smaller tools, and ad hoc internal solutions were unsuccessful.
After the investment in M-Files, the interviewees’ organizations saw a significant increase in employee productivity driven by overall document and information management strategy. M-Files provided advanced workflows, facilitated collaboration, eliminated inefficiencies, and automated processes.
