M-Files February 2021 release

M-Files Online February '21 Update (21.2.9928.4)

Roll out via automatic updates begins on February 21st, 2021.

Ground Link support for external object types and value lists

  • With Ground Link, you can connect M-Files Cloud with on-premises systems and archives. This gives you the possibility to collaborate in the cloud while storing documents and data on-premises.
  • With this update, we enable Ground Link to manage not only documents, but also objects such as customers, projects, and vendors that are in external systems, such as SQL databases, CRM, and ERP.
  • Legacy connections to external databases will continue to work normally.
  • For more information about Ground Link, visit our user guide.
  • For more information about object types, see this page.

User group synchronization for Okta

  • It is now possible to synchronize user groups from Okta to M-Files.
  • If your company uses Okta authentication for M-Files, users that are assigned to a certain user group in Okta will have the same user group in M-Files.
